This year, why not treat your furry Valentine to some homemade, pet-friendly treats? Here are a few delightful recipes that will have tails wagging and purrs of joy.


Heart-Shaped Peanut Butter Biscuits:

  • Ingredients:
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (unsalted)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix together the flour, peanut butter, eggs, and water in a bowl until it forms a dough.
  • Roll out the dough and use heart-shaped cookie cutters to create adorable treats.
  • Place the treats on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow them to cool completely before serving to your pet.


Berrylicious Frozen Dog Treats:

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • Instructions:
  • Blend the mixed berries until smooth.
  • Mix the blended berries with Greek yogurt and honey.
  • Pour the mixture into silicone molds or ice cube trays.
  • Freeze until solid.
  • Pop out the treats and serve to your pup on a hot Valentine's Day!


Salmon and Catnip Hearts:

  • Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup canned salmon, undrained
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon dried catnip
  • Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine salmon (including liquid), whole wheat flour, egg, and dried catnip.
  • Mix until it forms a dough.
  • Roll out the dough and use heart-shaped cookie cutters to create feline-friendly treats.
  • Place on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes.
  • Allow the treats to cool before offering them to your cat.
