TURKEY - YES, IF PLAIN...
Turkey is generally safe for dogs to eat, as long as it is cooked without any extra seasoning or spices. However, the skin and bones can be dangerous for your pup, so be sure to remove them before giving them any scraps.
STUFFING - PROBABLY NOT...
While stuffing may be delicious, it's not so great for your dog. Stuffing is usually made with onions and/or garlic, which can cause anemia in dogs. It's also typically very high in salt, which can lead to dehydration. So, it's best to steer clear of stuffing when it comes to feeding your dog this Thanksgiving.
MASHED POTATOES - OK, IF ONLY POTATOES...
Mashed potatoes are usually safe for dogs to eat, as long as they don't contain any onions, garlic, or other spices. However, many people add butter or cream to their mashed potatoes, which can give your dog an upset stomach. So if you're going to share your mashed potatoes with your pup, make sure they're plain.
CRANBERRY SAUCE - OK, IN MODERATION, LOTS OF SUGAR...
Cranberry sauce is safe for dogs to eat in small amounts. However, it is very high in sugar, so it's best to give them just a little bit as a treat rather than letting them gorge on it.
