9 WAYS TO ENJOY VALENTINE'S DAY WITH YOUR PET

It’s Wednesday so todays wellness post we are going to give you 9 ways you can enjoy your Valentine’s Day with your pet. From a nice homemade dinner to a playlist with all your favorite songs, don’t forget to show your pet just how much you love them by showering them with one of these 9 ideas.

Enjoy Dinner for Two – Take the time to cook up a nice pet friendly homemade meal that you both can enjoy together. Not only does your pet deserve a delicious meal so do you! What says I love you more than a few pieces of meaty steak chunks for your furry friend?

Watch a Movie Together – Pick a good rom-com to watch on Valentine’s Day. Nothing is better than curling up on your couch in your jammies snuggled up to your sweet pet. Bonus if the movie includes a fluffy sidekick.

Get Them a Box Full of Love – Gifting your pet with their favorite toys and treats is the perfect way to show them you love them. Be sure to get a few toys that you can play with too, like a ball for fetch or a laser for cat tag. Being able to interact with your pet makes it even more special. Be sure to check out our selection of toys and treats at Slobberbones Bakery & Market. Our crew is there to help pick out the best treats for your four-legged friend.

Take a Bubble Bath – If your pup likes bath time, then Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to give them that bubble bath that is long overdue. Getting your pet squeaky clean is also a bonus for you because a clean dog makes cuddle time that much better.

Make a Love Jar – Every time you think of a reason you love your pet, write it down and put it in a jar. Then next Valentine’s Day, take them out and read them to your pet. Reading this a year later will make you fall in love with your pet all over again.

Give a Massage – Who doesn’t like a good old fashion massage? Give your pet a massage this Valentine’s Day. You can incorporate hand tools like a tennis ball to help alleviate stiffness or tension.

Write a Love Letter – Getting your pet a Valentine’s Day card and writing a sweet love note to them. Getting all your feelings out on a blank page is invigorating, to say the least and we can’t think of anyone more deserving than your pet who loves you unconditionally.

Make a Playlist – Everyone loves music, even our furry friends. Create a playlist that both you and your pet can enjoy. Play the list throughout the day and dance around and sing along. We are sure you will have your pup howling along in no time.

Donate to Your Favorite Shelter or Rescue in Your Dog’s Name - Your pet already has the best gift…you. However, there are several cats and dogs that are still looking for their forever homes. This Valentine’s Day donate to your local shelter or rescue in your dog’s name. That’s a great way to gift not only yourself and your pet, but the pets in the shelter too!

We hope you and your pets have a wonderful day celebrating. Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us here at The Ark Pet Spa & Hotel!
