Ark Crew • Sep 08, 2020

The temperature is cooling off which makes outdoor activities with your dog a little more tolerable! We have spent some time coming up with several dog friendly places for you and your pet to enjoy the upcoming fall season in and around Huntsville and Madison. If we missed any of your favorites please let us know, we’re always on the hunt for dog friendly restaurants and activities!

GRAB SOME GRUB

The pandemic has made outdoor seating/dining more mainstream. Many local Huntsville restaurants adapted and added outdoor seating for their guests. With more outdoor seating there is more opportunity for your pup to join you for brunch, lunch and dinner! A few local staples include Sam & Greg’s Pizzeria, Humphrey's Bar & Grill, The Camp. You can also catch a food truck for a meal or even a snow cone. Sutherland Sno Depot truck even has a dog friendly snow cone option!

GRAB A GROWLER

There are tons of breweries in Huntsville and we have found most are dog friendly! That’s great news when you’re craving a stout or IPA, but also want to spend time with Fluffy. Don’t come after us for missing your favorite spots! You should spend some time sampling at Yellowhammer Brewing, Salty Nut Brewery, or Bowler Hat Brewing Company. Again, we know there are many more so feel free to message us about your favorites. madison@thearkspa.com

TAKE A HIKE

The Fall is one of the best times to get outside in Huntsville and there are countless options for you and your pup to enjoy. Take a nice stroll around the lake at Jones Farm Park, cruise through Big Spring Park, or take a nice, long hike through the countless trails in Monte Sano State Park. If you just want your pup to burn off the “zoomies” check out Huntsville’s local dog park called Dog Spot.
